Theri joins 50 crore box office total collections worldwide

Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s Theri which hit 1200 screens worldwide on 14 April 2016, has opened to mixed reviews from critics.
As per the reports from distributers , Theri joins 50 crore box office total collections worldwide with in 3 days.
Vijay’s “Theri” has got a great start at the worldwide box office. The Tamil movie has raked in Rs. 28.96 crore worldwide from over 1200 screens on its first day. In fact, Ilayathalapathy’s latest flick has broken the records of “Vedalam” (Rs. 22 crore approximately), “Kaththi” (Rs. 26 crore approximately) and “Puli” (Rs. 19.55 crore approximately).
The movie Theri which is made on a budget of 1 Billion (US$15 million) opened to housefull in many leading singles and multiplexes showing 90 percent occupany on the opening day of release.
Theri collected around Rs.13.23 crores on opening day in Tamil Nadu and has become the second bigger opener in the state after “Vedalam,” which collected Rs 15.1 crore on the release day.
Theri collection made to a total Rs. 1.01 crores in chennai, 2.56 crore in kerala, 2.24 cr in Karnataka in its first day release.
But the bad word-of-mouth might hit the movie badly and it is predicted that the business might see a huge dip in the week days starting from today.
After the Good response from the first day box office , 2nd day and 3rd day failed to hold the collection due to its screen loss.
